This is a real digipak for Rihanna's 'LOUD' album. I have chosen to analyse this digipak not because we would model our own on it, but because Rihanna is such an iconic and successful artist, there must be something in her digipak which can aid to her triumph.
I like the use of colour in Rihanna's digipak. Although red is a very striking colour, it is very muted and when teamed with pinks and nudes, gives a more romantic feel to it. Which is further reinforced by the roses and also the way in which she has been styled.
Her hair is an extremely shocking colour, however is made to look feminine when styled in loose, romantic curls. Similarly to her make-up; red lips and black eye-liner could look quite harsh and trashy, but5 teamed with the colour sceme used just adds to the feminine yet confident look. I think the red gives a passionate feel and the pink shows her femininity.
The back cover is the only panel which doesn't have the bold red, possibly to show the vulnerable and exposed side of the star.
